Rue 21, a national fashion retailer for young men and women, has signed a lease to open a new store in the Tinley Park Plaza near 159th Street and Harlem Avenue in Tinley Park.

The 5,800-square-foot store will be between Walt’s Foods and Bath & Body Works in the plaza, Brixmor Property Group announced. The company owns and manages the plaza.

The store is expected to open in late summer or early fall.

Rue 21 is based in Warrendale, Pa., and operates 770 stores in 46 states.

The lease is one of three the retailer signed last month with Brixmor.

Burger Joint Opens in New Lenox

A new burger joint called aptly enough Goodburger opened last week at 1880 E. Lincoln Highway in New Lenox, across the street from Lincoln-Way Central High School in the former Wynder’s hot dog restaurant, which closed in February.

According to its menu, Goodburger uses fresh burgers, not frozen patties, and also offer charbroiled hot dogs. It also has a kids menu.

Has anyone tried it yet? I’m always looking for a good burger joint.
