Buffett, B96 Summerbash, Phish and Clapton among headliners at Toyota Park

Toyota Park opens its 2010 season April 10 as the Chicago Fire hosts its first home game against the San Jose Earthquakes, with major concerts and other sporting events not far behind.

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band, the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival, Phish and the B96 Pepsi Summerbash again chose Toyota Park this year for its fan-friendly experience and easy access not only from Chicago but also all suburbs via I-294 and I-55.

“Toyota Park is the must-see destination for those who are looking to catch the top spring and summer events of 2010,” said Dan Garnett, general manager of Toyota Park. “Many of these world-class acts are making just one stop in Chicago this summer, and that stop is Toyota Park.”

Major concerts dates on the schedule include:

Phish – Friday, June 11, 7 p.m.

B96 Pepsi Summerbash – Saturday, June 12, 5 p.m.

Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival – Saturday, June 26, 2010, noon

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band – Saturday, August 14, 2010, 8 p.m.

The Chicago Red Stars pro women’s soccer team will play the first of its 12 home games April 17. More events will be announced later this spring.
